Allow the Best to Happen - Let your intuition make 2009 your best year yet.

For every one of us, 2009 holds infinite possibilities. This New Year can be the doorway to your best year ever, if you are willing to set that as the clear intention and then allow your intuitive guidance to deliver your desired outcome.
Intuitive guidance can bring you any outcome you desire if you are willing to surrender to it and let go of the demands of your logical mind. We all need logic to help us get things done, but as a partner to intuition, not a dictator. Imagine its demands as redundant, like old clothes that you wouldn’t wear because they don’t represent the real you, and hand them over to a higher power. Then you can be gently nudged in the right direction by the intuitive guidance of your higher mind.
Intuition is any information, knowledge or insight that comes without your logical thinking or conscious reasoning. Its language comprises gut feelings and “hunches”, the kind of knowing that enables many inventors to make their mental leaps of understanding. Gut feelings are the ultimate radar, clearly indicating what images, whispers and “pop-up” ideas are true guidance and what are not. This is important, because intuitive guidance can come in several different ways.
Visually, guidance can present itself from within the mind’s eye, or as things you see by chance out in the world. Auditory guidance may be a small, quiet voice within or messages you perceive in the content of casual conversation and music, or even in what you hear yourself say to others. Your rational, thinking mind can also be a messenger on behalf of intuition if it is open and relaxed enough: that’s when ideas and insights appear out of the blue and suddenly you “just know” something. The hallmark of all genuinely intuitive guidance is its highly positive nature: expansive, joyful feelings as you contemplate the next step and the sense that it “just feels right” when you do take action.
For 2009 to be your year of right action, you will need to assist your intuition by replacing the demands of logic with three vital qualities: clarity, focus and non-attachment.
Clarity means putting out into the universe the clearest intentions of manifesting your desires. Focus is the calm, unwavering awareness of that intention. Non-attachment is the letting go of your desires and outcomes so that your inner guide is always free to point you spontaneously in the right direction.
Whenever you want your intuition to work for you, the first step is always to set clear, well-defined intentions. That clarity of intention not only inspires you to achieve your chosen outcomes, but also sets dynamic energy in motion that travels out into the universe and draws these outcomes to you. Moreover, clarity of intention fills you with the complementary magnetic energy of positive emotions and feelings: you literally draw your desired outcomes to yourself.
After setting your clear intention, specify important details. For example, if a new car of a certain model, make and colour is your desire, include those details when writing down your intention. Alternatively, you may choose to put out the intention of buying the perfect car, and then simply allow your intuition and the universe to guide you to it. The amount of detail you include depends on its importance to you. However, always include the proviso that you desire that outcome or something better. This proviso allows your intuition the possibility of bringing you something even grander than whatever you had originally requested.
Having defined your intentions, the next step is to keep a clear focus on them. A time lag will always occur between your setting an intention and your intuition’s bringing it to you. This is a good thing! Imagine how complicated it would be if all your desires were to manifest immediately and simultaneously. During this time lag, you are called upon to maintain patience and trust as well as a steady focus, but that focus is nevertheless the key quality. Here is an image that can help you stay focused on the best possible outcomes for 2008.
As you start 2009, imagine a beautiful crystal bowl. Imagine that all positive thoughts connected with the intention of manifesting your desired outcome go into that bowl and fill it up like nourishment for the universe as it works to bring your desires to you.
Now bear in mind that this lovely crystal bowl will have a counterpart which it is equally possible to fill – but with thoughts that are contrary to your desired outcome: fears and doubts of all kinds, even, “Do I really want this thing?” Such concerns are natural for you to experience, but remember that they can fill up their own bowl and become the kind of mind power that repels your desired outcome instead of attracting it. Through your clear focus, you can decide which bowl you are going to fill.
So there you are, focusing calmly and steadily on that best-ever outcome – but for how long? Earlier, I touched on the need for patience while you wait for your outcomes to come out, so to speak. It is very easy to lose patience when you want something to come to you very badly. Unquestionably, though, everything manifests into physical reality at the right time. Robert H. Schuller, whose mentor was Norman Vincent Peale, the “father of positive thinking”, can be credited with the perfect reminder for you to carry with you at all times: “God’s delays are not God’s denials.” Protracted waiting for something does not mean it is not on its way to you.
In manifesting our desires, patience and trust are often tested. When it appears that nothing at all is working towards our desired outcome, the energy behind the scenes may already be starting to propel it to you. I experienced this when, several years ago, I decided I wanted a new car. I was perfectly clear that it had to be an attractive, sporty model that I really enjoyed driving. I detailed other things that were important to me such as engine size, the leather interior, and that it should be a colour I really loved. But this car of my dreams did not appear to exist in the market at that time. I left the intention out in the universe that the perfect car with those preferred characteristics would come to me, and I almost forgot about it as time went by. This year, while on holiday in a rural area where the car showrooms are quiet and the staff have plenty of time to explain all the options available to customers, I discovered a new Audi sports model and I knew that this was the car for me. It couldn’t possibly have manifested for me when I first set my intention because it hadn’t been made or even designed! With patience, I have become the owner of a car that I adore, and that is even more special because few have been made yet. If I had tried to rush or override this process of manifestation, I could easily have wasted time and money on a forced outcome that was far from “just right”.
This brings us to the third important quality in allowing your intuition to bring the best to you: non-attachment or the ability to let it go. You have stated your clear intentions; you have kept focus and thought aligned with what you desire; now you must totally let go and almost forget about what you have put out into the universe as your desired outcome, especially if you have asked for something very big.
Again, when we have very strong desires indeed, we mentally hold on to them very tightly. That encourages the logical mind to try stepping in and taking action on the things that would logically seem right to do. It’s the urge to “make things happen”. Yes, it is right to take action, but only when you feel guided to do so. Letting go means that you can say willingly, “This is what I want, and if I don’t get it, that’s all right too.” From that standpoint, you can hand the whole thing over to the universe in the knowledge that your intuition can freely go to work to align you with your desired outcome.
Once you let go, your intuitive guidance can be perceived. Often you will be guided to do things that initially appear to be unrelated to your original desires, but through following intuition you will find yourself on the most direct route to them. You may be called to do things that require a certain level of self-esteem in going against what is acceptable or “realistic” in logical, rational thinking. The key to this part is to have enough confidence and trust to follow those gut feelings.
Remember that your intuition will always speak to you positively and always nudge you forward in a step-by-step way that is empowering and expansive for you as a person. It will encourage you to step out in trust and take risks, to have fun and to act in ways that heal situations for the greater good of all concerned. Remember, too, that although your intuition may lead you into circumstances that challenge you to grow, it will never take you towards danger or anything that is negative for you. Everything is done with your highest good in mind.
To sum up, your intuitive guidance will consistently lead you to whatever you decide to achieve in 2009. Once your intentions are set, your own energy and your own inner guidance will bring it all to you – if you allow it! Have you defined what would make 2009 your best year yet? Now is the moment to think about this and make it clear. Back it up with your patient focus and then trust in letting it go for the universe to work on.
WHAT NEW YEAR’S GIFTS ARE YOU ASKING FOR?
- Details help them manifest! Define your desires down to colour, size and trimmings or the characteristics of a happy situation.
- Leave room for something even better to come to you.
WHAT IS NUDGING YOU INTO ACTION?
- Intuitive guidance is always repetitive: do you have a persistent sense that you should be taking a certain action?
- Have you been ignoring your hunches and gut feelings in favour of logic?
GOD’S DELAYS ARE NOT GOD’S DENIALS!
- Patience is essential to the process: the larger your request, the more time you must allow the universe to put it all together for you.
- When it arrives, it will do so at exactly the right time. Your higher mind will have already scheduled the date, even if your logical, rational mind has no inkling of it.
